Fake Conferences

again. Dr. Kumar says: "To have fake conferences is a shame for your CV, but more shame is for the fake conferences organizer"
From the Blog: http://evol-eco.blogspot.com/2009/11/beware-of-fake-conference.html
we have found:

I received the Proceedings of the fake conferences of IEEE on Sensor Networks, October 2009, New Zeland
This volume of the Proceedings of these Fake Conferences contains seven or ten fake papers. So, these IEEE fake conferences will be held again next year and many scholars protest now.

To have fakes conferences is a shame for your CV, but more shame is for the fake conference organizer

  2. and what about IADIS and IASTED. Aren;t they fake. of course, they are. They have very low bar for review. In fact, they sell the publications to silly "academicians". Congratulations for your blog.

  3. We have got a serious report from Professor Liu
    that the IEEE conference
    http://www.aicit.org/iccit
    is fake.
It does not have International Program Committee!

This blog posted today (July 17, 2010) the following incredible negative information and negative comments for IEEE. Needless to say that we agree:

NEW FAKE IEEE CONFERENCES only in our site (i.e. http://bogusconferences.blogspot.com/ )
Sometimes science is a sad thing…
We are speaking about Bogus conferences or FAKE CONFERENCES (exclucive information in our site; we discovered them)
    These are the Fake Conferenceshttp://www.aicit.org/index.html
Each conference of AICIT.ORG is a fake conference/

All this publish or perish madness is already upsetting enough, but fake journals which constantly spam you with most stupid emails, are even worse.
One of the worst examples in the computer science sector is FAKE Conferences with IEEE logo and IEEE Sponsosrhip . These jerks send me at least once a month an email.I especially appreciate the Hello?… After getting this for months, I contacted them to stop spamming me (yes, that’s never a good idea with spammers, I know…) - without any reaction. Then I send an email indicating that I am very interested in publishing something in their journals, just to see what happens - again no reaction.
    So, see for example
Registration Form for Publication in their several fake journals:

    http://www.aicit.org/jcit/payment.html

    http://www.aicit.org/jdcta/payment.html

They must know that in our academic community, if you pay to have a paper
published in some journal, then this is a poisson for your CV

and now, I wonder, this fake pseudo-origin of AICIT , how did it obtain the IEEE logo and the IEEE Sponsorship in its fake conferences.

So, our conclusion is that IEEE works only for money selling now its name and its logo to bordello-conferences of the pseudo-origin of AICIT.
Enjoy the IEEE pseudo-conferences of AICIT in http://www.aicit.org/conf.html

Some of them have been completed without having International Scientific Committee.
What is your opinion, dear IEEE, for this conference:
    http://www.aicit.org/niss/
    is it fake or not?
and why do you grant your IEEE name and IEEE logo to these BASTARDS? (Sorry, to be more polite, i correct: to these ACADEMIC CRIMINALS)

  12. Many people established some web pages and the advertize them as Scientific Societies, but they aren't.
Examples? IARIA, IRAST, HIGHSCI, IACSIT, grs-association.org, AICIT
They are not scientific societies, but simply web pages of some owners like Petr Dini, Nagib Callaos, etc. They have as Patron the IEEE Fake Publications. Their conferences are full of garbage papers because theis "conferences" do not include any real review of the junk papers that they use to collect

  15. The IEEE has hundreds of Fake Conferences. I think that it is better to publish to societies like IASTED, IMACS than the IEEE.
The IEEE conferences are not serious especially if the organizers are guys like Petre Dini or Nagib Callaos.
So, if these idiots Petre Dini, Nagib Callaos send you again CALL FOR PAPERS, even if they include the logotype and the word IEEE, send an email to every body that this is a call for a bogus (fake) conference.
This is the problem with IEEE. Some IEEE conferences are honest, but the majority are fake. Sorry, but this is my opinion

LOW QUALITY CONFERENCES USE THE NAME AND THE LOGO OF IEEE

    from the blog http://low-quality-conferences.blogspot.com/

One more junk conference with "all-papers-accepted" policy uses the name of IEEE.

The Bogus Conferences with the name of IEEE is not a new fashion in our academic community. Every conference organizer (even non qualified) can pay some commission to IEEE (5% or 10% from the registration fees) and automatically receive the rights to use the name and the logo of IEEE.
Unlike other serious organizations, IEEE is a commercial house and the authorities of IEEE should be punished from us.
    Yours Sincerely
