One more punch from IEEE in the abdomen of a commercial and unreliable university system that promote unworthy, underserving, nugatory people.

In an IEEE official web site, IEEE confessed that 157 Conferences were caught for low quality papers http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/author_form.html

Numerous bloggers elevated this number to 1000 fake IEEE Conferences though.

In a web site written by a Germanian Professor, you can see the alegations that 1100 IEEE Conference proceedings (one thousand and one hundred IEEE Conferences!) accepted and published fake papers.

You might find the same opinion in www.qualityofconferences.com (actually we learned the new feats of IEEE and the new IEEE
achievements from www.qualityofconferences.com )

The number of 1000 -1100 fake IEEE conferences is outrageous of course, but even if the fake IEEE conferences were only 157 as IEEE (itself) confessed in http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/author_form.html
they are too many. Too many indeed for IEEE.

"Through its regular conference quality-monitoring process, IEEE became aware of inconsistencies in some conferences with regard to the quality of the peer review and technical program development. In 2010, IEEE launched an in-depth investigation through its Technical Program Integrity Committee, a volunteer-based committee responsible for ensuring the quality of IEEE publications.
The Committee concluded that the procedures followed by the technical program organizers of certain conferences were insufficient to assure compliance with IEEE's high standards for quality publications. Therefore, IEEE has decided not to publish the proceedings from these conferences in IEEE Xplore. The decisions of the Committee are final. [...]

What an amply confession, a cogent and unshakeable evidence and proof that IEEE conference system is fully corruptef.

Moreover www.qualityofconferences.com posted that
"IEEE Started with the IACSIT fake conferences of http://www.iacsit.org/conference.htm

All the IACSIT junk conferences were bragging that they had the official sponsorship of IEEE.

IACSIT conferences were really very very far from the common academic and scientific standards because they put the bar (if any) so low.

They used to publish gibberish papers from Far East Countries without any quality control

The rather low fees of them attracted many scholars from countries like China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and even Australia.

These unlucky scholars thought that they would publish their works in IEEE.

Now, not only the previous conference proceedings of IACSIT removed from IEEExplore but IEEE sent a note to IACSIT for not using the IEEE name and IEEE logo in the future.

So, from April 1, 2012, IACSIT web site does not have any reference to IEEE.

The disaster for IEEE happened however

Examples of other IEEE fake conferences that their past proceedings have been excluded from IEEE Explore Data base

We wonder why IEEE was so slow. Our blogs revealed the IEEE Fraud in 2008 and now it is 2012

but we have here our personal remarks

a) These stories with IASCIT Conferences remind us that the bogus conferences of Nagib Callaos (IIISCI), IASTED (yes, IASTED started with the support of IEEE, IASTED conferences are fake see Wikipedia: IASTED )

These fake conferences inflated with IEEE Sponsorships in their first stages

b) Who is victim here? IEEE or IACSIT?
IEEE sold a brand name to IACSIT and may scholars from Middle East and Far East published their papers in IACSIT because IACSIT ensured them publications would be IEEE digital library (IEEExplore).

What about these poor fellows (authors from far Asian Countries) now?

They travelled, presented papers, paid registration fees (high registration fees for
their salaries) and now IEEE says them:

"We are sorry. We have removed your publications from IEEE Data base. We have removed the titles of your conference proceedings from our data base. Get your papers back and go away"

What about the Universities of those poor fellows now?

Several university web pages flaunt because their faculty members published papers in IEEExplore. Now, these universityes must remove publications from 157 conference proceedings from these university web pages.

What about Professors that became professors with these IEEE publications that do not exist anylonger? Will they maintain or will they lose their position?

Who serious publisher will accept to publish these papers that were in the IEEE Data base for 4-5 years and now they aren't?

What about the reliability of our academic system?

IEEE punched again our unreliable academic system very hard.

One more punch from IEEE in the abdomen of a commercial and unreliable university system that promote unworthy, underserving, nugatory people in academic gowns.

  1. Clearly IEEE is a commercial company

    In many web pages like

    they have this web signature:
